HORRIBLE experience. The guesthouse rep decided on his own to put me and husband in a room that we did NOT book and pay for. He didn't even inform us that we were given the wrong room until I had to bring it up directly to him via email because he actually left the guesthouse the MINUTE he gave us the keys. We originally booked a room with a restroom ensuite (Simpsons room) but he put us in a room with an external bathroom. I politely asked (again through email because he was NO WHERE to be found) if we could be switched to our original room but he said he could not and was not compassionate that put us the WRONG room, which was noisy and we got poor sleep in. He failed to tell us this up front, did not accommodate us at all, and worst of all, DIDN'T reimburse us. I had to call Hotels.com customer service to intervene and the guesthouse still DID NOT reimburse us. We also planned on leaving our luggage after our check out time because we were leaving Rome later that night, but decided it was not safe to do that as there was nobody at the front desk (like, ever.) This was a horrible experience and I would NEVER recommend anybody stay here. It has a strange set up, it is loud as it is right by the rail tracks and not very comfortable. The walls are thin and you can hear people snoring and talking next door. The towels are old, stiff, and feels like its been used hundreds of times and the bathrooms are mildewy. Only positive thing is that it is close to the metro (5 min walk)
