To be honest, it was not nearly as bad as the reviews said. My room was quite big, clean (no bugs at all), it had a TV, mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave, air conditioning, and the bed was super comfortable. The only thing that needed a little pampering was the shower.
I would say that the location is quite good as it is near downtown, however, it is packed with homeless people and it can get a bit scary if you are not used to that. The hotel is also home for a few homeless people as well so keep that in mind. I honestly didn’t feel quite safe at first (I’m a woman travelling by herself), but in the end nothing happened and the hotel staff was always super kind. I even got a package from Amazon and they held it for me until I arrived. If it weren’t for the area I would have given this hotel four stars.
Downside: The elevator, the entrance of the hotel and the halls are quite old and they smell pretty bad.
