Rather surprised to read the reviews raging about the manager/owner's hospitality, I guess our experience must have been personal.
The manager felt short and rather annoyed with our few request. After a few days of hanging the "Please make up the room"-tag on our door we asked explicitly for our room to be cleaned, to which he replied they had a lot to do and would try to get to it. When we got back the room had not been cleaned and the sheets had just been flipped, which was clear by the old bloodstains that were on the sheets from our arrival.
The manager was to us rather unfriendly and while clean floors is nice, the constant policing of feet cleanliness at the front door made for a very unrelaxing experience.
Even though the cover photo for the hotel is a beautiful beachfront photo, it was a 4-500 meter walk to a rather lackluster beach with a ton of large rocks in the water, which when the tide was low were completely uncovered.
Check-in was flexible, but looking back we must have been provided a lesser room than we paid for. We paid for a Superior Double Room but it was in fact very small with an extremely small bathroom which also provided zero privacy with its screen-like door, and our entire view was the wall/roof of the next building 3 meters away.
All in all, this was our first hotel on our five week vacation and also by far the least value one out of our total 10 different hotels, and the manager the least friendly person we came across in all of Thailand.
