We have stayed at Flying Flags several times. While an RV campground primarily, we stay in one of the several small units added over the years. These small units offer families an alternative to a typical hotel room. The units we stayed in all show their age and are used hard. The wear and tear shows. If you go in with low expectation you will not be let down. If you go in thinking a three or four star hotel, you will be let down. This year, for example, the floor was dirty again, the TV in the main room needed to be reset, the refrigerator had a water leak/condensation onto the shelves, the bathroom door would not shut without lifting and sliding (kids could not operate), the bedroom door would not stay open (and has the only heater for the unit - wedged open with a piece of bark), the gate door outside would not latch, and, the worst, sewer gas vented into the unit one evening requiring us to run all sinks/faucets and vent the unit. This sewer gas issue happened once before and the maintenance guy blamed the RV park’s plumbing. Wing designed for RVs and not units. If Flying Flags did not have the kid friendly pools and playground we would not return. Every time we discuss switching back to a regular hotel. Tbd.
