For a smaller motel, we were extremely pleased. Some of the outside needed a bit of paint but our room and the bathroom were very nice and was extremely clean. Beds were comfortable also. Shower only and it was quite small. Air conditioning was great since you could actually control the temp.

After quickly registering, we walk into a extremely clean room with everything we needed for a good night's sleep. The motels convenient location made navigation to and from out destination a breeze. BIG props, and a tip, to the cleaning staff!

Very clean. Outside door needed painting. Double locks in doors. Good, safe location. Toiletries adequate. No outlets for phones. A decent ok place to stay.

Wow! We were very impressed with this small hotel that is immaculately clean as though it was brand new. There is free shuttle service (5 min.) to the ferry boats going to Mackinac Island and free car parking while we stayed on Mackinac Island. Ryan, the manager was super informative about the ferry boat to Mackinac and gave us several restaurant suggestions which were very good. Located in easy walking distance to everything. We highly recommend this hotel.

Basic, but perfect spot for a day trip to Mackinac island. Parked at the hotel and an easy walk to the ferry. Basic motel set up but everything is either very new or very clean, it felt new.

Great experience at the Wayside. Gentleman behind the desk was pleasant and helpful. We were able to pick up the shuttle to the ferry going to Mackinac Island right in motel parking lot. 5 star motel for sure.

We ended up staying 2 times on this trip, exceptionally clean basic rooms, they filled our needs perfectly, great location for visitors to St. Ignace and being able to park right in front of our room made it super easy to unload our stuff for the evening.
