Clean and comfortable nice sized room, check-in was speedy & easy from the bar downstairs. There was a bit of noise from street traffic from quite early in the morning if you’re a light sleeper, not an issue for me, enjoyable stay.

fantastic stay at The King William in Totnes 🍻🏡 Lonely Traveler Productions really enjoyed the visit here — warm hospitality, a great atmosphere, and the food was absolutely brilliant! 🍽️✨ It’s always the little places with big character that leave the best memories, and this was definitely one of them. Stayed in room 4. The smell of the drains was awful from the sink. It needs a new trap and deep cleaning ASAP! The bathroom is general was very tired and in need of updating. The reason for the low rating was due to how loud it was in the room until 12 at night. I knew I was staying above a pub, but I didn't think I could do the quiz in my room or listen to sweet caroline on repeat. Bed was really uncomfy too - woke up numb on my side from how firm it was. Staff were really friendly but I won't be here again.

Room was big and warm and the bed was great. Location was excellent and the room was very quiet. Had some issues with the lock on the door being tricky to work and the corridor smelt of smoke at times. Overall though I enjoyed my stay.

Good location and room clean and comfortable. Pillows a bit flat though so that could be improved on. We didn’t have a great night sleep as there was some sort of fan on the other side of the wall (room 5) that came on every 20 minutes or so and was quite noisy. Also noise from the pub and street outside went on quite late but we kind of expected that due to location.

Great place to stay. However, the Mattresses on the Beds in the twin room (Room 2) need renewing, very poor. Great place to eat in the evening. If you have mobility problems, the stairs are steep, there is a Rail on the left side, but the last few steps don't have have a rail. Also a bath with a shower is not good for a Mobility person. The Manager was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, arranging taxi's etc. Breakfast was served in the Café , opposite and a reduction of 50% was given, breafast in the Hotel was not available until 10:00. There was a 50% reduction in the Pub (Part of the Hotel) was available on Evening meals, from a great menu.

Loved the room, it was a comfy bed and had all the amenities we needed. The staff were helpful, chatty and very welcoming. We had breakfast most days and lunch on the day we didn’t in the pub downstairs and Alex even remembered what sauce we liked! The pub had a fab atmosphere, the food was lush and the cocktails were gorgeous. Would definitely stay again 💕❤️😍

The room had all it needed for a short stay. Staff friendly and efficient and they keep my suitcase for the day whilst I shopped. I will return.
