We stayed at the then Rendezvous Hotel a couple of years ago and it looked tired. The restaurant, food and service were generally all good. A couple of years later and under new management, we expected some positive changes but unfortunately didn't experience anything that could be considered better than before. The rooms and especially the leisure club look like they need renovation and even though they are advertising one night stays during January offering dinner in the canalside restaurant, it was closed due to low resident numbers. In summary; overall it's tired and needs some renovation, service and staff were generally good and the meals not bad but relatively expensive.
