The glamping option was a novel idea. The tent was tidy, comfy and well equipped as was the shared kitchen mess.

The location was beautiful but the comfort of the stay could be improved with some outdoor lights so you can see what your'e eating for dinner and also a light to be able to see the toilet at night.

The little cabin I stayed in was great and had fab facilities within it and the best view of the lake. The bathroom facilities could have done with being updated

The stay was great, easy walk to use facilities and office, staff were amazing catering to our needs even if it was a few questions, were able to change cash for the washing machines, and the view spectacular!!!

This place was exactly what we saw online and the staff were lovely. What an awesome way to spend the afternoon overlooking the lake with a quick (freezing) dip in the lake then kicking back relaxing.

Why would you stay in busy Wanaka when you can be in this paradise? We had a cottage which was just brilliant. Took some coffee & sat for a while just admiring the view from edge of park over the lake - wow! Girls at the desk were very helpful. Wish I could have stayed a lot longer - was at the top of all the places I stayed in NZ.

4/10 Fair

We didn’t stay and went elsewhere as bathroom facilities far from tents and limited in quantity.

Great cabin with a short walk to the lake. The bedding was comfortable and warm and plenty of heaters for those like us use to warmer climates. The floors were a little creaky, and the shower was a water-saver (as you would expect), but a great heater in the bathroom and a nice little cottage overall. Adding in a drying rack would be a great addition for those wanting to stay longer.

We are campers, so understand what's involved in living in a campground. The lake was beautiful. The tents nice. We did not use the heaters though it was cold, till morning. Bedding was great. The restroom was a bit of a walk but a port o let was available closeby for those midnight bathroom calls. The kitchen was well supplied. The only microwave was available in the central kitchen. All in all, it was a good experience.

Lake Hawea

A lovely setting which if you had your own tent you could pitch by the lake. The facilities were okay but a bit dated. You do need your own crockery and cutlery here as none is provided but you could rent it 10 dollars per day.

No breakfast available to buy. But the grounds and all was nice. It’s a campground that also has bedrooms.
Christoffer, 1-night trip

Overall, We're satisfied and happy with our stay. It's just that I needed to book 2 cabins instead of 1 cabin that can accomodate family of 5-6. Hoping also they got dim lights specially at night. We can't sleep with a full light on.
