Check in was easy with the app which was a good start
Place looks nice from the outside and very quaint which we loved and we were able to park the car which was great.
However this is where the good ends.
Upon arrival we liked the room itself and felt it was quite welcoming and cosy, however upon entering the bathroom we noticed the walls were covered with ants. As we looked closer around the rest of the room it became clear that the ants were everywhere in the room, covering the walls behind the bed and everything, I tried to make contact with staff however with it being later in the evening we arrived no one was available to help on the phone and nobody answered, I also took to messaging via hotels.com however as far as I’m aware there’s still been no response.
Given we had nowhere else to stay we pulled the bed out from the wall, brushed off the ants from the bed and hoped we’d get some sleep, unfortunately not much sleep was had which was a real shame and had a big impact on our road trip.
The following evening after leaving I thought that I may have left my wedding ring behind and the motel so proceeded to email them directly to ask if they could kindly check the room for me to see if it was there.
This was on Monday the 1st December, it’s now 5 days later and there still hasn’t been as much as an email or call back to say they’d checked for us, nor has there been any response about the ants, absolutely shambolic levels of service, be warned.
