A true third world experience in the centre of Sydney. International travel without a passport! Half the price of a real room and off the charts for how much truly worse it was. Despite knowing it was cheap accomodation, arriving to a ‘No Refunds’ sign was ominous. Stained carpet and Lino throughout, old soaps and shampoos accumulated in the shower. Staff member apathetic and resigned. The rooms allow all noise to pass in all night long ensuring hourly wake up.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, and the helpfulness of the staff and management. Shout out to the young bloke who was mopping the floor and chatted to me while I was waiting for the manager to check me in. And the Asian lady who was one of the cleaning contractors who was also very helpful and friendly. My only quibble with the hotel was the shared bathroom facilities. The showers only have curtains. Please put doors on these showers. I skipped using the shower because it seemed a bit dodgy just being protected by a curtain. And there didn't seem to be anywhere to put my clothes while I had a shower. I value my privacy. Apart from that it was good.

The reception staff are very friendly. There is a Woolies Metro about a block away, liquor shops even closer, and a proper pub 2 blocks. A stones throw from Central Station and the city. I have stayed here a few times.

For context I am a single male in my 40s and I stayed 5 days. This is a budget accomodation, if you go in with that expectation it’s a good place to stay. The room I stayed in was clean and fit for my use. There was a lot of ware and rare in the room but nothing that mad may stay uncomfortable. If you have any sort of issues with stairs look at other options or reach out to them first as the stairs are the only way up to most rooms as far as I can tell. Close to public transport and within walking distance to many restaurants and points of interest ( within 20min radius). Would stay again if the need arises.

The room was spotless and the staff were all courteous.
