We arrived 20 minutes before the official check-in time and were simply turned away, told to come back at 4 PM. In many hotels, staff at least check if the room is ready — here, we were just told to wait intim the Offizial time of check-in.
We had two separate bookings (2 nights + 1 night), and although we asked to stay in the same room, we were still forced to move. They promised to move our luggage and keep us on the same floor — neither was done.
In the second room, the hairdryer barely worked, but the staff refused to replace it, saying “it technically works.” The coffee machine was broken, and there was no way to make tea, which was frustrating given the cold weather.
Breakfast was served in a lounge 10 minutes away on foot, and the quality was very poor for the high price. We later stayed at other lodges where breakfast was much better for the same cost.
When we returned to our room on the first day, it hadn’t been cleaned. We were told we should have requested cleaning ourselves — something nobody informed us about during check-in.
Overall, the service was impersonal and disappointing.
