We initially got given a bedroom on the fourth floor and when we walked in, the heat hit our face even thought the windows were open and fan was on, it was easily 35 °C. There was no way we could’ve slept in the room. We eventually got a change of room but was initially told there was only the fourth floor which wasn’t true. We would’ve had to drive home the 3 hours home if we couldn’t have changed. The man on the desk with the glasses was a great help. Bed was super comfy and room lovely, although the windows were painted shut that was the only downside.
What I did find odd was we got a voicemail at 9pm to confirm if we were still staying, I don’t know if that’s standard but never had that with a hotel before, it says on the confirmation check in is till 12pm. When I called back a lady answered and when I said I’d had a missed a call she said it was probably about arrival and asked cheekily “so are you coming or not?”. I confirmed we were and 2 minutes away, I asked about parking & was told it was available but It actually wasn’t. Over all the stay was fine, the 2nd room was really nice.
