Place looks like a fleabag motel but the staff are super nice and friendly.

Was marked a no smoking room but definitely smelled musty like old smoke smell.

Room was very outdated huge hole in the wall by the door you could tell by the shotty repair they did on the door where obviously probably been kicked in or something bed was extremely uncomfortable. They had a huge TV in the room they're screaming everything which is cool except for you can't watch it with no internet their internet is horrible so if I didn't have my Hotspot I would not have been able to watch any television. Shower was nice about the pressure and nice hot water so that was nice. The staff was outstanding the young galthe young guy and they were both great I'll be back. As long as I can watch TV........

This place was kind of rough: not super clean, bed covers had what looked to be old cigarette burns, and it looks like they started to remodel the bathroom then ran out of funds to remodel the bedroom. It was fine for one night, but I probably would not stay there again.

Room although dated, appeared clean. Both wife and I slept well. Earlier concern with nearby street noise didn't occur, especially with AC and fan running. Some litter on parking lot.

The room was clean and the staff friendly. It is an old motel but was perfect for a quick stay while on the road as it is inexpensive.

Quick trip to Des Moines for a fancy dinner and a trip to the zoo. Clean, modern room and a very helpful front desk. Spent more on dinner than the room. 14th Street is busy, and you may need to do turnaround off a side street, but you can get to just about anything you need from there without much travel.

2/10 Mala

Check-in was difficult due to attendant could not speak English. When finally able to get into room, upon entering was horrific smell of smoke. Inspecting the room and found it was absolutely filthy, afraid to put out luggage down on anything. There were several people outside on the balcony yelling at people in a car below, did not feel safe here. Returned to speak to attendant which was terrible to communicate with. So we removed our luggage, informed attendant we are not staying here, returned our key cards and went to another hotel.

Inexpensive with Easy Access to Downtown

Inexpensive stay in a location with easy access to the downtown. I'll stay there again.

They are trying to upgrade this hotel. However, it is a bit run down and needs more amenities. We had no bath mat, no plastic or coffee cups. A coffee maker, but no coffee, etc. Very aged carpet and chair. Nice big TV, pretty comfy bed, hot shower and clean restroom. With more work, this drab property could be quite charming.

The room was very nicely remodeled but very BASIC....the concierge Dennis was available 24/7 & provided cups, bottled water & kleenex upon our request & delivered them to our room. The bed was very comfortable. There was no remote with the TV so we had to use the buttons on the TV itself. All in all if you're looking for a place to sleep/shower it's great for the price. Would stay there again..close to downtown!

Very basic, older property. The owners are making efforts to maintain it, but basic amenities are missing - no cups to drink from in room, no holder for toilet paper. Rooms are small. Linens were clean but worn-looking. It did have a nice size TV and a mini fridge. Carpet needs replaced but it appears the owners are in the process of renovating rooms. It’s ok if all you looking to do is sleep and quickly leave. Not made for any type of long term stay.

This was a no frills place to stay but the room was nice and the front desk guy was friendly. If you are looking for a cheap but nice place to stay, check them out.
