What could be a charmingly eclectic bed and breakfast is ruined by disinterested staff, nonexistent amenities and a general air of “Elvis has left the building”.
Had it not been so expensive, I would have happily chalked it up to an off weekend, but the evidence suggested it wasn’t a one time thing.
Breakfast was stale, the grounds badly in need of repair, and the bathrooms almost roadside worthy. Threadbare towels, non-draining bathtub and giant pump soap dispensers.
The closet had 2 clothes hangers that had clearly been left by previous guests.
It is also worth noting that the restaurant is not affiliated with the hotel so signing privileges are not allowed.
We had to request housekeeping after 2 days despite being out of the room all day.
I feel as though a fledgling interior designer wanted to design a hotel without having ever stayed a a hotel.
Previous responses to reviews cite staff shortages, but all we saw were staff lounging in various areas of the hotel.
There are many choices in East Hampton. For the price, this is not worth it.
