Admittedly we chose this hotel based on the reasonable price and the decent looking photos. The location is outside of the main Mui Ne area, about ten minutes to the north which is still OK but there's nothing of interest within walking distance.
When we checked into the room we noticed that it was full of mosquitoes, the mattress was sunken on one side and the shower had only hot water. To their credit, the sent an army of workers within minutes to change the mattress, spray the room and replace the faulty hot/cold water mixer in the shower. The worker wasn't able to turn off the water mains so he changed it 'live' with water spraying out of the fitting as he worked. This pretty quickly filled the bathroom with water and the water then ran out into our bedroom. But they mopped it all up and everything was fine in the end.
The breakfast buffet has nothing familiar for foreigners except bread and fried eggs. But it's great if you like noodle soup, rice paper rolls and thick, black buttery coffee.
