Although the expedia app did not mention that this would happen, I was charged the full amount for the stay before I had even arrived at the property to check in. I was then told over the phone that this was the apps fault and I was supposed to be charged for the full amount early, and that I could not get my money back. I was told that If I gave information for a second card, then the charge could be reverted on the first, but the property was obviously trying to scam me further by charging two cards simultaneously.
The property was not as advertised, it was just a trailer park, with none of the "cottages" looking like the pictures, inside or out. The cottage I was told to wait in before check in was filthy. There was dog feces on the floor, dirty linens piled up, the toilet was clogged, and food scraps were strewn on multiple surfaces.
