Our holiday didn't start very well when we were put on the wrong bus from the airport and ended up on the wrong end of the island. When we were finally on our way to the correct place, it was already midnight and the journey was going to be another two hours. At this point we rang the apartments and spoke to the son of the guy who ran the place. He spoke very good English and was kind, helpful and reassuring. He gave us several personal numbers to phone when we arrived and calmed us down immensely, which was much needed. This kind of personal service continued throughout the whole holiday with both father and son being exceptionally jolly and friendly at all times.
We were impressed with the level of cleanliness of our room, the pool and the poolside toilet. (In fact, Corfu is home to some of the cleanest public toilets we have ever seen!) The room was basic but had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the linen was clean and there were plenty of plug sockets.
We did have to ask for loo roll when we were running out but this was given to us straight away.
The apartments are in an excellent location if you want a quiet and relaxing break (although occasionally, the hotel next door got a bit loud late at night). You never had to fight for a sun lounger and ofter had the pool to yourself.
We were B&B and brakfast was a little limited (a continental was two pieces of toast!) but the food was great quality and the full English was realy good, including the bacon!
