Merrils Resort is my home away from home! The staff is wonderful, and the room I stayed in was renovated nicely! The grounds are kept up do nicely by the gardeners Diego and Kevin. Head waiter Mr. Charlie and Ms. Barbara are the best, all of the staff was and the Chefs were wonderful!

Excellent location. Beautiful beach. Food was ok some days, and they don’t have variety. They don’t have a good selection on beer or soft drinks. The main problem is the noise. Loud music until 2 or 3 in the morning. Construction starts early in the morning.

I stayed at the resort for 5 days with my friends and the food was good, however they kept on having diarrhea and I broke out into hives, so I think we all suffered from food poisoning, the liquor at the bar was cheap so though it’s all inclusive the drinks wasn’t great, the place was clean however we killed a few cockroaches. Staff was nice especially little Boni she made us the perfect drinks on our last day and I like the girl that cleaned my room she was nice and did as I told her, so I would recommend this place to others it wasn’t bad at all 7.5/10 especially for the price.

The resort was a great experience for my husband and myself. The food was pretty good for an all inclusive. The grounds were well maintained. Charlie, Barbara and Diego are truly assets. Their work and kindness made my stay wonderful. My only problem was the broken television and lack of support to fix it or swap it out. I like to relax during evening hours with television broadcasts.

Beautiful property, very tropical, well maintained, mostly friendly staff especially Charlie and Jovan in the dining room...gorgeous beach area. Food was mediocre , drinks not great ...We stayed in the executive suite oceanfront which was fabulous. Would definitely stay here again!
