So clean, so quiet and a great place for rest.
Alexis, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Very slow and hard communication and not enough towels or duvets for everyone even after several requests. Location fine, room good, bathrooms clean. Central Park and Subway very close.
Signe Isabella, 5-night trip

Value for money

Close to the subway and value for money.......but very noisy with creaking stairs and doors banging. The shared bathrooms are very clean and were always available when i needed to use them. I really appreciate the coffee pot in the room and fridge & microwave. Overall, a good stay but a little noisy for my personal comfort.

The property was pretty decent and was convenient to many of the subway and busses that ran. Would recommend for short stays

Great staff, solid location. Older building, but clean and has character. we'll definitely come back to stay.

I have never stayed at this type of hotel before (and probably won’t again due to what i am accustomed to) but considering the fact that this was an in and out trip it suited my needs for a place to lay my head for the night!
Darin, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Great location with proximity to Central Park and calm street in a neighbourhood with beutiful houses and more ’humane’ than south Manhattan
Anna, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

I liked how the townhouse added to the atmosphere of the stay. It felt very, for a lack of a better word, authentic.
Justin, 8-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent location for exploring Harlem and Morningside Heights. Friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms—ours had a kitchenette. Reasonably priced, not that restrooms and showers are shared by guests on each floor.
Francesca, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel gives you the feeling of being in a classic NY apartment. The best part of this place is how close it is to Central Park and a subway station. There are several options for dining where you can walk from the hotel.
Cristian Alberto, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

My 10 year old daughter and I loved our stay here! Clean, short walk to subway and Central Park. Short walk to coffee, food and small grocery store. The street was beautifully lined with brownstones and the hotel had a NYC vibe. Will definitely recommend and be back!!
Angelina, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Ants in my room and a little run down facilities but other than that an okay place to stay at
Alfredo, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We enjoyed our short stay. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in south Harlem for a great price (which we were), and who doesn’t mind a shared bathroom situation (which we don’t). Super convenient location to subway lines, Central Park, and dining in Harlem and Morningside Heights. The hotel is full of historical charm! Staff was amazing, super responsive and accommodating.

I'd say very good for the price in NYC. It's right next to Central Park. The room is clean and it feels safe.

My room was on the 4th floor with no elevator and no flexibility to put me on a lower floor.
Dalia, 6-night trip

8/10 Very good

It’s cheap and you get what you pay for. Rooms are small but alright for sleeping purposes
Matthaeus, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

The shared bathroom situation was never ab issue
Erik, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

My stay was decent. My room was clean and convenient. It’s a block away from Central Park and lots of museums and places to shop and eat. The only things I didn’t like were the super squeaky staircases and the bathroom sink and bathtub wouldn’t drain properly, so there were instances where I was simply brushing my teeth and washing my face, and the sink almost ran over. Other than that, the space was accommodating and good for a quick stay in the city if you know you’ll be out and about for much of the time.
Dale, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

The place fares terrible in terms of amenities they ought to provide. Bring your own water, bath slippers. The towels are old and short.

I loved my stay here and I would definitely stay again. My room was small for two people so next time I would book a double bed stay. However, there was a mini refrigerator, microwave, and safe in our room. The tv was convenient, free coffee and coffeemaker, and a lovely housekeeping staff. The shared bathrooms aren't really a problem- it's like forming in college so don't forget your shower slippers!! aside from that, check in was smooth and check out even smoother. The building was safe and secure and there is a wonderful vegan restaurant a few blocks way. This stay is convenient for MTA transportation and food! overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
Samantha, 4-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I had the studio suite. Kitchen was included. Stove top wasn't working but there was a burner for pan/pot cooking. Clean but walls are thin. Warm in winter, a/c in warm weather. Convinient to 2,3 train.
Vincent, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Rat holes in the floor, which allow the rats to come out in the middle of the night. Gap in the door to the room also allows the rats to come into the room. (Be woken up in the middle of the night because the rats are trying to get into your room isn't fun.) Hot water isn't really hot and water pressure is bad. CONSTRUCTION on going first thing in the morning. When I left I hoped to talked to the "receptionist" about these issues, but no one was at the desk from 8-10 a.m.I called and left a message and (of course) NO ONE returned my call. EXPEDIA should remove this hotel as an option.
LAURA, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

The hotel is super clear about the shared washrooms which I appreciate however there was a cable running through the window which caused it to not close all the way which led to it being quite drafty and cold. While there was an extra blanket, one side of it was dirty and that was disappointing
