El hostal es una casa preciosísima muy antigüa y muy bien conservada, la ubicación es excelente, el staff súper amable y eficiente, una delicia de lugar. Tiene todos los servicios incluida una cocina super equipada, hay café y té gratis todos los días.

Just a place to crash. Avoid in winter.

The staff was very kind but... the room was very basic and kind of creepy. You had to lock with a padlock and from inside the method to keep the door closed was... a stick. It was very very cold, my partner had to sleep with the coat on since the AC heater and the electric blanket provided did very little. We just slept there and in the morning we left, even without taking a shower because we wanted to leave a.s.a.p. Maybe in summer is better.

El chico es súper amable y a pesar de ser un hostal no es incomodo si no todo lo contrario té hace sentir como en casa y tiene información sobre los eventos q hay en la ciudad y tiene la mejor ubicación! El lugar es muy bonito aunq si pasas un poco de frío

Es una casa antigua y no es muy cómoda. Habia bichitos en la habitación y pasamos calor. El baño es un poco precario. Pero dormimos bien y la gente era muy maja. Para mochileros.

This is an old traditional Japanese house, currently used as a backpackers. Taking that into consideration the experience of staying there is great value for money and the chance to stay in a Japanese house that has been kept with so many traditional features is not too be missed.

　近鉄奈良駅から少し歩いた場所にある、このゲストハウス。古い日本家屋を使用しています。階段が急だったり、少し寒かったり・・・古い日本家屋っぽくて私は好きです。寒いと言ってもキッチンは暖房が効いていますし、リビングはこたつがあるので暖かいです。 　スタッフの方も親切で、近隣のイベントなどを教えてくれてりして、観光の参考になります。近くには銭湯もありますし、飲食店にも困ることもありません。とても居心地の良いゲストハウスだと思っています。

Really stunning old teahouse now used as a guesthouse. Very traditional and in such an old building it cannot be totally 100% modern conveniences. If you want slick and modern go somewhere else but as an informal traditional style, reasonably priced guesthouse/backpacking hostel it was great. The owner was very welcoming and gave us lots of tips for the local area and is obviously very proud of her guesthouse and Nara. We had a beautiful room with a view of the garden to wake up to. We also had the opportunity to sleep on tatami mats, which won’t suit everyone but at least we can say we tried it. Excellent location for the deer park and shrines

good location, nice property but restroom smell

The location is very good. It is very close to the Nara park, the shopping center, and train station. The property is very nice and cozy. There are two restroom and one of them is very stink the urine smell.

Money well spent

The location is excellent and close to the sights in Nara. Altough there were some minor hickups with a borrowed charger not working and a toilet not flushing (!) the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were a bit cramped but ok. House was very picturesque and cozy with its own garden. Thank you for a good stay!
