I couldn’t stay. I had to leave and book elsewhere. This is no longer a hotel in my opinion, I feel sorry for the staff having to deal with that situation. It’s full of asylum seekers who have absolutely zero respect for the place. Being a single female on my own, I didn’t feel safe as there were large group's of men hanging around corridors- glaring at me like I was intruding! They were shouting outside my door and I could not settle, they were so loud and intimidating. There was no way I was going to hack it out and eventually plucked up the courage to leave the room and check out. I felt safe once I left the carpark. The place smelled so bad of smoke and weed. The room was passable as a 2* at best, I’ve stayed in cleaner 3* budget hotels. I stayed here years ago and it was pleasant so I didn’t think to read reviews for an update.
Absolutely never again, it’s ruined what was a nice hotel. I have never felt so uncomfortable and on edge, it was awful.
The receptionist was very apologetic, it’s obviously not their fault and are just doing their best to deal with that chaos.
