We chose this hotel as it clearly had a hottub and swimming pool. When we checked in, we noticed a sign that said the swimming pool and hottub are separate for £25pp per hour extra!
We showed the manager that this was not at all clearly mentioned in the details on hotels.com and even more hidden on their own websites.
For us, this was a clear case of false advertisement as the spa is what they show off the most with. Even on their own website, they speak about their spa from the start, but even the manager needed 6 clicks to be able to show you have to pay extra for it.
After a long discussion with her, she told us she could make an exception and give us the ability for a full refund if we wanted to search for another hotel. As we didn’t immediately know if we could still find a decent one, she told us we could look and think about it.
An hour later, we found another hotel so we returned to the front desk. There the receptionist said she would check with the manager as she just went home… A few minutes later, she returned and told us the manager said we should have taken the offer immediately and that it is now too late!
We then asked her to check the cameras so she could see the manager is literaly lying, but that she didn’t want to do. I've never been treated more unprofessional.
The wifi is also terrible and almost unusable, unless you also pay extra for it!!
Room itself feels outdated as well
