Extremely disappointing stay at Manor Park Hotel from 23–25 October 2026, costing £248.68 for two nights.
Firstly, the room was dirty and had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard. Basic cleanliness should be the minimum expectation when paying for accommodation.
To make matters worse, the hot water stopped working on the evening of 24 October and remained unavailable the following morning, leaving me unable to shower before checking out.
I reported this to hotel staff and was promised a refund, but was instructed to request it through the booking app.
Despite following their instructions, I have spent weeks chasing the promised refund.
The hotel has acknowledged the refund promise in writing, yet I have received nothing but generic apologies, repeated assurances that someone will investigate and no meaningful resolution.
Hotels.com advised that the refund was the hotel's responsibility.
What should have been a straightforward complaint has become an unnecessarily frustrating experience. I have repeatedly chased the matter and allowed ample time for a resolution.
The combination of poor cleanliness, lack of basic facilities and appalling aftercare has left me feeling completely fobbed off.
I would not recommend this hotel and certainly would not stay again.
