One-time Chiang Mai Boutique Hotel Experience Only
Pros: very small hotel with 12 rooms only. Property is well maintained and decorated. Good quality breakfast, and I'd say the best time during our stay at this place was the breakfast time. Short walking distance to the night market. Cons: limited common area and privacy. We had three rooms on the ground floor facing the pool. We went out after checking in and when we return, we noticed someone came into the room and turned A/C and lights off, and moved our luggage. After checking with front desk staff, they said they would go into the room and apply bug spray each night when guests are not there. I would appreciate their heads up during check in as we felt strange and being watched. In addition, the use of common area table was limited. They said we have to go into the room and eat our stuff. They charge us 60 baht (2USD) for a small jar of ice. We wanted to borrow a knife to cut fruits, and they refused to lend us as the owner afraid to loose them. No scale provided to weigh luggage. All I can say that my overall experience was more like staying at someone's living room. I don't see any "hotel" level customer services provided.

One-time only Chiang Mai Style Boutique Experience
Pros: The hotel has 12 rooms and a small swimming pool. It's relaxing and small common area was well maintained. Breakfast was served in the common area everyone and made to order which was nice. The owner who also is the chef cook great food. The best part of the hotel stay was the breakfast time. Cons: Hotel runs like a family business. I felt I had no privacy and being monitored all the time. We had three rooms reserved on the ground floor. We checked in and went out for dinner. coming back, we noticed someone came into our rooms as luggages moved around. We asked the front desk, and their response was their staff would come in if we are not there (w/o notice) to turn off the lights and AC off and apply bug spray. It was totally strange to us that we anticipate some prior communications if they respect our safety and privacy. Rather than calling this place hotel, I rather say it's more like someone's house. To me, the common area was only for the look and not for guests to use. A glass of Ice costs us 60 Bhat (almost $2). No weight scale available. I was going to borrow a knife to cut fruits we bought, and they said they can't lent it because the owner didn't want to. Front desk staff were nice but there aren't much they can offer, and this place will remain as a family run 2-star guest house. I wouldn't call this is a hotel.

Fantastic Hotel for relax in Chiang Mai
It is a very beautiful and relax hotel for three of us! The hotel arranged triple beds for us before we request!! They are absolutely thoughtful~! We are very appreciated their arrangement!!! For the location, it is nearby lots of massage and spa, also we only take 10 mins for walking to the Night Bazaar market!!!Also, It is nearby the "ART in Paradise" for the 3-D Museum! It is very convenient. On the other hand, the hotel is made from wood. We really like to wooden smell when we just opened the room door! Smell made us feeling so relax and natural in these 3 days~! For the breakfast, I must put a Five stars for their food~! I love the Fresh Mixed Fruits that their provided and we ate our breakfast in the pool side. So relax! They provided us the seasonal mixed fruits and a bits different in everyday~! Especially, We got a surprised in our Room, there is a Jacuzzi in the bath room!!Moreover, the hotel is nearby a supermarket, just need 10 mins to walk to there! Thanks for the owner to provide us this information. Finally, we bought some local fruits there~! All the staff and the owner are very friendly and we love their smile very much! We appreciate the special Chiang Mai Local morning breakfast made by the owner! We must miss the tastes, the staff and the room in Chiang Mai! We are highly suggested traveler to stay in this hotel to have a relax and comfortable Chiang Mai Travel experience!

Private Lanna Style Accomodation
If you are in this area of Chiang Mai I would definitely recommend staying here. The staff are very nice and friendly, rooms are large and beautifully decorated in the 'Lana' style. Breakfast was nice and we received fruit platters when we went for a swim. Not many people staying there last week, felt like we had the place to ourself! Hotel is in easy walking distance to the night bazaar, bars and dining options. Great massage shop a few doors down and French bakery on the corner. Only minor faults in the room (plug didn't close in spa bath) etc One tip: Don't book tours or a taxi through these guys - you will be paying a lot more than you should. Overall - I would stay here again when visiting Chiang Mai - Thank You Amata Lanna
