Great place to relax and experience the wine country. The dinner, port tour and port tasting was a special treat and the morning breakfast excellent. It was great walking the grape fields or just sitting under the fig trees outside the 16th century manor.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to Daniela. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care for guests made all the difference. The hotel itself has so much potential, with a great atmosphere and everything needed for a relaxing stay. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our trip and book an extra night. Daniela’s exceptional service truly made our experience unforgettable. She is a real asset to the hotel, and we can’t thank her enough for making our stay so special. We would happily recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back!

The staff was extraordinary, providing important details about meals and a village festival prior to our arrival. The property itself is beautiful. We would definitely return because of the ambiance of the area and hotel, the friendliness of the staff, and the excellent wine.

Love the place. Did not expect this high quality experience. The vineyard is part of the lodge. Great dinner (60 Euro per person) and breakfast. Superb wines that could be purchased. Nice quiet village to walk around

What a fabulous break we have just had thanks to Manual and his team. This is a family run , small Vinyard in a stunning location. We even had a little tour of the old house which is dating back 19 generations of the family. We booked on the day while touring the area. The rooms are brand new , inside old barns and buildings. Small but just what we needed as we had a large pool and garden just near the room. The breakfast was excellent. Served by really nice staff. We went for the dinner and wine tasting option which was also excellent and with lots of great info about their wines. We were lucky to have great weather so at sunset we sat in the gardens with a glass of wine , actually in the vines… how relaxing. We would highly recommend this place for a break away from busy life. It’s a small village, only 2 little cafes , but the one we spent an evening in was ideal, cheap wine and simply food , a welcome rest from a busy week in Porto City. Overall 5/5 or 10/10 for this lovely private accommodation.

Accommodation is in the outbuildings of a manor house in a lovely village high in the Douro wine region. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful and we had a great meal with tasting of wine and port made from vines in the estate.

Hotel maravilhoso, em uma quinta muito agradável, funcionários muito simpáticos e atenciosos, principalmente o do o senho Manuel. Quarto simples mas muito confortável. O jantar é muito bom com prova de vinhos um pouco caro na minha opinião.

A definite must stay if you are visiting the Duoro Valley. It is a small slice of paradise once you enter the red door. Manuel was so kind and helpful. The wine paired dinner (for a cost) was delicious and very informative. Highly recommend you book here.

Do not consider anywhere else!

Unique experience in this small family run authentic hotel - it’s not really a hotel it’s an experience. Location is unbelievable and it’s a quaint character filled small winery. We loved the wine paired 3 course meal, Manuel welcomed us to this more than 400 year old winery that’s been in his family for generations. Totally recommend for a trip to Duoro it’s not just a place to stay.

This is a beautiful property. The pride and tradition expressed both by the family who owns and runs the property as well as by the manner in which the property is maintained was clear. I would highly recommend a stay at this winery if you looking for excellent wine and a true experience with a Portuguese wine maker. We dislike "touristy" experience when traveling so this did not disappoint. We hope to return some day!!
