We booked one night as a stopover before flying to Tahiti, but flight changes meant we had to stay longer.
This small, charming property has just four rooms, a huge pool and an excellent restaurant next door. Everything you need is provided. The fridge was stocked with fresh water, fruit, cake and even almond milk for my coffee, which was thoughtfully arranged after asking about my preferences.
The rooms are functional, spacious enough and spotlessly clean. Our first room had a large bathroom, while the second bathroom was rather small. The rooms are also a little sound-sensitive.
The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, but Raj deserves special recognition. When our flights were disrupted, he accommodated us again without any fuss, kept in constant contact, drove us to and from the airport three times and waited for us — without charging anything extra! He kept reassuring us that everything would work out during a very stressful situation. This level of kindness, flexibility and genuine care is absolutely not something you can take for granted.
The adjoining restaurant, The Lazy Trout, is also excellent, with generous portions and delicious food.
Overall, a lovely, clean and welcoming place close to the airport. We are especially grateful to Raj, whose outstanding hospitality made all the difference. Highly recommended!
