We got a handicap-accessible room, which we did not want, and the shower water goes everywhere. The shampoo which was supposed to be permanently anchored to the wall, was on the floor and broken when we entered the room. When we checked out, they said that they had the wrong credit card on file. I paid in advance, but he flagged us down in the parking lot saying I owed $194 for each night. He asked for my credit card, which I instinctively gave him. When I pulled up the reservation on my phone and showed him I already paid, he said he had no choice and ran my card without my permission. I asked for a manager and he said no one was available. I asked for a receipt, and he gave me one that showed I was charged $194 per night but my room rate was $204. he said, "well you got a discount then". I told him no, because I was charged twice. I showed it too him and he said he was fine now that I had been charged and he could not anything about it, he told me speak to the manager and gave me a card. I checked with my credit card company when I got home and only $10 was charged and not $194 per night. This guy clearly did not know what he was doing and I have no idea why $10 was charged because we never bought anything. Now I need to contact my credit card company... We were leaving early because my daughter had been injured in a sports tournament and she sat int he car while we argued about this in pain... will never go to another TownePlace.
