Just an overnighter but could have stayed so much longer! Such an unexpected, welcome find - quality, cleanliness & commitment to high standards are obvious from the moment you walk in and the (upgraded - thank you) room was comfortable - luxurious in fact - and full of homely touches and practical little extras. The bottled water & milk were a nice touch and the toiletries / tea & coffee etc were top of the range, as were the hosts! Genuinely welcoming and both striking just the right balance between friendliness & professionalism. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious - well worth £5, especially when you consider how much most hotels charge for a buffet of stuff that looks as if it's been left lying around since daybreak. Good-sized powerful shower. Bedroom & communal area cleverly decorated & furnished - feels like an African safari lodge! There is parking but Torre railway station is only 5 mins away, as is a local bus stop on the main Newton Abbot - Brixham route. Nice & quiet ares though. Can't find any fault and would 100% recommend for any length of stay. Thank you to hosts D&H!

Excellent hotel,room was beautiful with garden terrace. Breakfast was very good especially the omelette thats a must.nothing was too much trouble. The hosts where lovely. Best in Torquay

Wonderful little place, from the moment we arrived Helga and Denys were so welcoming. Room was spotless and well appointed, water in fridge each day was a lovely touch. Breakfast, as many have said, was on a par with a 5* hotel. By far the best place we’ve stayed in Torquay. It’s a little way back, but #12 bus round corner and Torre station is a 2 minute walk, also one of the quietest places you’ll find. Would definitely return and recommend for anyone visiting Torquay 👍

The guesthouse is very conveniently located across the road from Torre Station which has an excellent service along the riviera. The guesthouse itself is very well decorated, extremely clean and the people who run it can’t do enough to help, even making us bacon sandwiches on our last morning to take with us as we were catching on early train. We will definitely look to stay here next time we are in the area.
