This is will be a "one and done" stay for us. When we got there to check in the front desk clerk was having a private conversation with another guest, not helping them with anything hotel related, she did not acknowledge that I was even there & kept talking. There conversation continued for 15 minutes, at that time I interrupted and asked if we could check in. She said she was helping another customer, at which time that person said "we can finish our conversation later" and walked away. I handed her my ID & credit card, she held out her hand, said nothing. She did not apologize, say anything else or ask any information from me. As she handed me the room key she said I upgraded you, nothing else. I did not ask for this, nor need it. And let me say it was NOT and upgrade. We had been traveling for 5+ hrs after a full work day & it was late. When we got to our room the door was open, the deadbolt was engaged so the door would not close. When we went in, it was obvious the room had not been vacuumed. There was a pile of dirt/sand on the floor between the beds and other debris scattered throughout the room on the carpet.
We were exhausted & did not want to deal with the front desk person & having to move rooms, as were leaving early in the morning and wanted to get some rest. Lastly, the hot breakfast items were cold & hard(sausage). This was not a good experience. We will not be returning but hopefully with this information you can make the needed improvements for future guests
