Good quality B&B pub. Nicely refurbished rooms with comfortable bed and spacious en suite. Very welcoming staff and a great breakfast makes this a good choice. Good restaurants nearby too.

Pleased to say, after a 3.5 hour drive, we both had an excellent stay, check in was easy, staff and all the locals were friendly people. Food was excellent. Ian and Wendy were fantastic in making us feel welcome. Will certainly be staying again.

Lovely place, immaculately clean and well presented. A really pleasant surprise as I didn’t know the area and wasn’t sure what a hotel/pub would be like but it was a really nice stay, with a genuinely friendly team. Breakfast (which was included within what I thought was a really reasonable price anyway) was cracking! Highly recommended.

Our room was spacious and lovely and clean, as was the bathroom. The staff were all very pleasant and welcoming. It looked as if our room had been recently renovated and the bedding and towels looked new. The Tvworked well and we were able to access bbc iplayer and itv x etc. All in all a very good hotel,we will certainly be back.

Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Wendy and Andy and the ladies who served and cleaned. I stayed seven nights and felt like I was coming home each evening. The room with pullout couch for my sister was roomy and we had lots of space to spread out. The cooked breakfast included in the price was amazing and I really appreciated the vegetarian menu with several choices of dishes. The location was perfect within walking distance of the train station. I would definitely recommend the Union Inn and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Great place to stay. Room was very comfortable. Nice atmosphere in tbe bar and breakfast was excellent. Can't comment on the food as the nights we were there, Monday and Tuesday, they weren't doing food. Plenty free parking. Would recommend the Union.
