Honestly the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. A lovely atmosphere and feel about the place. Breakfast was excellent. The view of the sea in the morning just made it.

This hotel was a 5 star boutique hotel, with the best staff, the most amazing food, and a great new and wonderful designed layout. I can recommend any one to go and stay. It’s also in a stunning location right on the Harbour. I will certainly go back again.

I had a lovely stay at the Shore Hotel in Balintore — the location is beautiful with a peaceful view over the harbour, and my room was immaculate, comfortable, and felt freshly renovated. Everything throughout the hotel was spotless and well cared for, and the whole place has a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning was really nice too — simple, tasty, and a perfect start before heading out to explore the coast. A very clean, friendly hotel in a gorgeous setting, and I’d happily stay again.

Excellent stay in Balintore. Having stayed in the Balintore inn a number of times, this is a great addition to the area. Staff first class, rooms amazing. Sadly I didn’t get the chance to try the restaurant but will definately be back. The only minor comment which I hope the hotel fixes is the lights in the toilet as they are all on sensors and the timers are too sensitive, so found myself having a shower and brushing my teeth intermittently in the dark with the lights going on and off. I hope they fix, but this is a very small issue which can easily be addressed.

We returned to The Shore Hotel for a second time, this time staying an extra night, and once again the standards were exceptionally high. Honestly, this genuinely is our favourite hotel ever! We stayed in Room 1 this time, and in our opinion, the views are the best in the hotel! Waking up overlooking the harbour and beautiful coastline is just something special. The food continues to blow us away. We ate in the restaurant every day, and everything was exquisite. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and even the snacks were all out of this world. The quality, freshness and flavours are exceptional, and every meal was a highlight of our stay. A special mention to the staff, who were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They genuinely made the effort to get to know you, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. Those personal touches really do make a difference! The hotel itself is gorgeous, with its beautiful seaside feel, stunning bathrooms, lovely toiletries and comfortable rooms. You can really appreciate the thought, effort and pride that have gone into creating somewhere so special. It’s wonderful to see a hotel of this standard in Balintore, a place that holds a very special place in my heart. Huge credit to everyone involved in making The Shore Hotel what it is. The hospitality, setting, accommodation and food make it somewhere we will keep coming back to. Two visits down, and we’re already looking forward to the next!

What a beautifully created small hotel with views to die for. The food, both dinner and breakfast could not be faulted. The staff really made sure we were well looked after. We will definitely be back. One very small suggestion. Due to the very clean and modern lines of the bar and restaurant sound echoes can make it difficult to hear. As we have seen in other restaurants there is the easy solution of sound absorbing panels to mount to the walls/ceiling. These can even be printed with pictures to disguise their purpose and add local interest. Otherwise don't change a thing. It is so near perfect.

What a fabulous transformation! The work by JJ Vass & Sons is amazing. The Hotel has been transformed into somewhere really special. The bar & restaurant, including the outdoor seating, are first class. Gorgeous views over the harbour & towards Shandwick Bay. The public bathrooms are stunning too, with beautiful Arran Aromatics toiletries. Our room was beautiful, with a modern seaside feel. Bed was comfortable, the temperature perfect, the bathroom gorgeous. Everything spotlessly clean. Toiletries another lovely touch. One thing I would flag for the future is the beautiful cream carpets throughout the communal areas & bedrooms. They look amazing, but I did wonder how easy they will be to keep pristine long term. We were very conscious of our shoes after walking on the beach, and of course not every guest will remove theirs! Perhaps just something to keep an eye on as the hotel gets busier. We ate in the restaurant and were so impressed. Huge portions, great value and absolutely delicious. The best langoustines we have ever had! The lobster was fantastic, and the steak & lamb from Fearn Farm were fabulous. Everything fresh & cooked to perfection. Breakfast lovely too. Second morning service a little slower and cooked breakfasts arrived without the beans. They did arrive, but unfortunately after we had eaten. Hopefully these are taken as helpful pointers. Balintore has a special place in my heart and I wish the hotel every success. We loved our visit and can’t wait to return!
