I booked online with Hotels.com
When I got to the hotel I started unpacking my car and was met by a gentleman that asked me if I was checking in, He told me the hotel was all booked for the night. I was confused because he looked like a hotel guest who was just hanging outside for the evening since he had a case of beer and was wearing a sweat suit and slides. However he told me he was housekeeping. I explained that I had already paid and booked my room. We walked inside to get more information. Once inside he said "babe can you help this girl out" talking to the hotel clerk that couldn't even be bothered by me because she was braiding her daughters hair in the lobby at 11:30pm. I said what do I do I already paid and now I don't have a room. NOT EVEN LOOKING AT ME she explains that I needed to call hotels.com to either get put in a different hotel or ask for a refund. At this point I want nothing to do with Hotels.com or any hotel to do with Hotels.com. I asked her how does the refund work. Still not looking at me and acting annoyed she tells me they will contact her. Its been 3 days I still have no correspondence or update on my refund and as of now when I contact hotels.com they said they have been unable to get in touch with the hotel. Does not help when they let my husband use the office bathroom he said they had about 7 people back there drinking and chilling. It was like a back office family party gathering on a Saturday night. Did the room I book go to one of them?
