The property was full of drug addicts and broke down vehicles. It was 100% not a safe place to stay. There was no hot water and the rooms were dirty. It was so bad i turned the key back in and left.

This is a lower price option for a simple clean up and sleep stop. You will not feel like a rich person in this situation- unless you are using the place as a hideout on your heist getaway, and counting lots of unmarked cash in your room while looking around the curtains to verify you have not been tracked. No hard feelings here, we made it work for us by accepting it as a very temporary interlude for basic needs.

We needed last minute rooms after a vehicle breakdown. I think we ended up on the wrong side of the supply and demand equation because the cost of this hotel was approximately double what I feel it was worth. There was an event in town and many hotels were completely sold out. The property was fairly clean, but definitely showing its age. Parking was scarce. Breakfast was prepackaged granola bars and such. I did not mind, but others in my group did. The A/C worked, but it was so loud that you could not carry on a normal conversation. All of the staff were fabulous. They were the best thing about this property.

Stayed here not out of choice, I was relocated here by Hotels.com. I will never again be staying here! Roach infested, got very sketchy characters staying there making noises and yelling in the middle of the night. Super uncomfortable beds, we found dead roaches in the beds. Floor was peeling. Staff was nice and friendly but that was the only my good part about this stay.

Exterior not well-kept. Incorrect establishment name, i.e., different from what’s advertised. Tv only antenna channels. Stairs and exterior corridor not cleaned of bird do.

A belligerent man came from the back after we had already secured our reservation in room. He was obviously high on something presuming bleach drugs before HEB began a fighting with my husband and in front of my young nieces who were scared. We were then insulted and berated , and walked away losing our accommodations would never recommend this toilet to anyone or have their families treated in such a vile manner

Don’t let the price scare you off. The Lodge is a hidden gem. It is a well loved and maintained older property. The room was very clean and the air conditioner would make a polar bear proud. From the friendly check-in to departure, our stay was very pleasant.

The issue was mainly on the room. Dirty towels, left over soap from previous guest, & cockroach’s. With seeing a dirty restroom made us wonder if the bed was actually clean or simply made.
