Like you’re staying in a tree house. Very neat property. If you don’t like bugs, lizards, living in nature don’t stay here. We really enjoyed it. Sunset and water view from our room, the Lomi Lomi suite. Handmade breakfast was waiting for us in the am. Friendly and communicative staff. Good location too.

We had the most charming stay and couldn’t recommend more - we were just sad we couldn't stay longer! Barbara is a wonderful host, the breakfast is organic and delicious, the views are gorgeous, and the grounds are truly magical. It’s perfect for families who love nature but also comfy beds and running water! We will be back for sure and next time we’ll stay longer :-)

This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to stay in a jungle away from it all. The windows are screens and in the Hawaiian heat it feels like glamping. And the breakfasts and staff are wonderful too. The National park is very close and we visited multiple times to enjoy hiking, beaches, and the historical elements. The snorkelling/swimming area was also very busy. And the ranch offered snorkel gear and other things to make sure you could make the most of your time there!

Customers need to be warned that this isn't a hotel and the room wasn't really a room, but rather a screened-in porch. There were no windows to close - only screens. There was no shower, but rather a bathtub where people from the outside could see anyone in the tub. The bathroom sink was actually a kitchen sink that came with cockroaches. The bed was in very bad condition, sinking in the middle. There was poor lighting, no air conditioning, and nearly deafening noise from frogs outside. When we arrived, it was completely dark and to reach our room, you were required to climb a steep hill/driveway. The breakfast consisted of some cut up fruit, wheat bread, oatmeal, and coffee. The owner was friendly, trying to be accomodating and helpful.

The room decor is very unique and full of history. The back yard is full of surprises with nature and even a forest movement studio! Stuff are very friendly and easy to talk to. The owner herself is nice to chat with. Breakfast is included and delicious and healthy! We love this place!!

Lomi Lomi Room. It was a surprise to see a large one-room studio. Soaker bath with shower curtains in L/R area. Two walls with only screens but secure and relatively private. No A/C but efficient fans. Supplied earplugs were needed to block frog and bird and fountain noises, but I'm a light sleeper so kinda loud for me. I'm glad the recent storm didn't hit the property. That might have made the room inhospitable. But a pleasant stay away from the crowds in Kailua Kona. A bit of a drive from town - almost an hour to the airport with our 4:30 am. start.

We loved our stay at Dragonfly Ranch. The location is out of the way but perfect for seeing the beauty and splendor that is Hawaii. The people are kind and interesting. It's not for everyone. You are quite immersed in nature. There will be geckos in your room and the birds and insects are right outside. It's almost like camping with a comfy bed.
