The Riad was amazing! Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were knowledgeable about food recommendations and were on hand to book excursions. The onset Hamman was also wonderful. Felt very safe and in a central area so perfect for exploring the souks.

Très beau séjour! Je recommande. Les chambre sont propre et confortable. Le staff sont accueillant et serviable. Tout est à l’intérieur de 25 minutes à pieds. Nous avons utilisé le hammam du Riad et ça a été une expérience relaxante. Je commande vivement!

The location is perfect! About a 15 - 20 minute walk to Souk (Popular Shopping Area) and the Big Square (More shopping, restaurants, local entertainment, banks etc). If you’ve never been to Marrakech before, particularly Raid, the properties do not have much signage and the buildings all look the same. We were able to identify the property when we got to the location on Google Maps by a unique wooden door. Which would be extremely difficult to find especially if you’re checking in at night. Which was the case for us so we had to ask a few locals to help us. However, once you get through those doors you’ll love it! The aesthetics are just like the images, the staff is friendly and extremely helpful. They assisted us to navigate through the city, book tours, and get taxis. Would definitely recommend!

The location of Riad Rêve Et Fantaisie Marrakech was very convenient and safe for those who want to be close to the Medina but away from the central tourist traps. Located in more of the residential areas of the Moroccan Medina, north of most of the touristic locations, we found the location very central. We also liked that the Taxi can drop you directly in front of the Hotel which is rare, as most central locations in the Medina would require small cars, and would be required to be accessed by foot. For those who want a place that's low thrills, clean, and a friendly staff, this is somewhere I would suggest. As someone who has been to Marrakech over a handful of times, over the last 20-years, I would recommend Riad Rêve Et Fantaisie Marrakech. I also enjoyed the tagines on the roof top, and the common space that was very well-kept. We were one of their first clients, as they just opened less than 1-month when we arrived, so perhaps the property will change over time, but I hope they will keep the hospitality and condition of the property.

**AVOID THIS RIAD – SAVE YOUR MONEY!** Absolutely disgraceful experience. The Riad advertises deluxe double rooms with beautiful photos, but some rooms look NOTHING like them. Our room was dark, shabby, poorly maintained and not worth anywhere near what we paid. When we complained, staff claimed the photos were simply of some rooms. The manager eventually admitted we hadn't received the room type we booked, blaming Hotels.com. At checkout, another staff member admitted we weren't the first guests affected. Despite this, nobody offered compensation or even made an effort to put things right. Completely unacceptable! The room had no pillowcases, the toilet was loose on the floor, the toilet seat was detached, and the showerheads were rusty. The swimming pool was filthy, and breakfast was an absolute joke. One morning, they had run out of milk for coffee ONE HOUR before breakfast ended, despite shops selling milk just around the corner. Utterly ridiculous! The location is also misleading. It's a 20–25-minute walk to the main square, and the Google Maps location on Hotels.com is completely wrong. Solo female travellers may also feel uncomfortable walking back in the evening. The only positive was being able to get a taxi directly to the door. Marrakech was amazing, but this Riad seriously damaged our experience. Misleading photos, the wrong room, terrible maintenance, poor cleanliness and zero customer care. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Très mauvais rapport qualité-prix Malheureusement, notre séjour dans ce riad a été très décevant. Nous n’avons pratiquement pas réussi à dormir, car la chambre était extrêmement bruyante : les passages de motos dans la rue étaient incessants, parfois avec l’impression qu’une moto passait toutes les quelques secondes. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre. La deuxième chambre était certes différente, mais elle était sale, avec une forte odeur de moisissure, et ne disposait même pas de climatisation. Pour deux personnes, nous n’avions également que deux serviettes de bain, sans serviettes supplémentaires. Le petit-déjeuner est également très décevant. Les portions sont vraiment minuscules, plutôt adaptées à de jeunes enfants, et le choix est très limité : par exemple, seulement trois mini-pâtisseries. Cela ne correspond pas du tout au prix payé. La chambre ne dispose ni de réfrigérateur ni de télévision, ce qui peut être acceptable dans certains riads, mais compte tenu du prix et de la qualité globale du séjour, cela devient un réel point négatif. Concernant la localisation, le riad est situé dans un véritable labyrinthe et il est assez difficile de s’y retrouver. De plus, les distances indiquées sur le site, notamment vers Jemaa el-Fna et Guéliz, ne correspondent pas du tout à la réalité. Aussi le spa est le bain.. sont pas inclus.

BEWARE OF FRAUD AND UNPROFESSIONALISM BY THE STAFF. Ahead of our arrival, I was contacted by a staff member who asked me to buy him alcohol. This felt highly unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. I contacted the riad ahead of time and asked them to arrange for a taxi drive to the riad. We were driven to the riad and paid the full cost 220 DH to the driver upon arrival. The staff member at the riad witnessed this payment as he spoke to the taxi driver and also was helping us with our bags. Upon checkout, the same guy at the reception demanded we pay double local tax and again for the taxi. He claimed the taxi driver took the full payment as a tip and that it was our fault for paying the driver, (despite having witnessed this at the time he said nothing) and then demanded that we paid again. For reference, a tip of 220DH is something you would notice and ask about. The normal cost of a taxi fare is 15-50DH. None of them had said anything about us paying the riad and not the driver beforehand. Once again, he even WITNESSED the payment. If this were a proper establishment they would have settled this with this with the driver and not us. That is, if it weren’t a thought out, two-part, scam. We were forced to pay again or we would have missed our flight, we also felt unsafe in the situation. The room was right by the lounge and pool. People stayed there until long in the night and early in the morning. It disturbed our sleep and experience further.
