I booked a non smoking room with amenities of a refrigerator and microwave and ac. The room had three cockroaches in it and the ac was not on when I opened the door. There was no refrigerator. It was over 90 degrees inside. I turned on the ac but still had to get a fan to get the temperature down. It took 2 hours for the room to cool to under 80 degrees. It was miserable. The room had an ashtray and burn marks on the bedding, furniture and even the bathtub. The bedding was dirty and the pillows smelled of smoke. There was a trail of bugs going up the wall along side the bathroom sink. It was after 10pm when we checked in and a severe thunderstorm was coming so we had no choice but the clean as best we could and stay, but left the following morning even though I booked a total of three nights there. Expedia refused to issue me a refund even though I reported the issues immediately and provided pictures as proof citing that I had to go through the property. The property manager refused to give a refund citing that I had to go through Expedia for it. They did not offer a better room and the entire experience was terrible. My kids were scared to use the bathroom because of the bugs and the room was so hot we couldn’t get to sleep til 1-2 am after it started storming. Worst hotel experience I have ever had and will not use Expedia again because of the lack of accountability on their part when they are the one who charged my card.
