This was the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our two week trip to Sicily, London, and the Isle of Jersey. We only wish we had planned more days here. (We stayed 3 nights in a suite.) The hotel is furnished with a beautiful understated elegance - a true lesson in the art of neutral & white-on-white furnishing. Our room was very comfortable with HUGE amounts of room to move around - unlike most European hotels in this price range. The staff was excellent - very helpful, although English speaking was limited - as might be expected this deep into the countryside. The grounds were just beautiful and serene. As it really is an old castle, the walls are so thick you have to hang your head out a window to make a cell-phone call, but the view is so beautiful out there, it's a pleasure to do anyway! Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately we never got to have dinner there as our nearby Auntie kept insisting we have dinner at their home. This is where we will stay when we go back to visit our family again. It's just outside of Vizzini, so you have to do a little country travelling to get there, but it is well worth the little drive.
