Heat pump is dead, the carpets need attention, as you open the doors, they was a bad smell of either moisture or unclean carpets or maybe doors were never opened for a while. The reception staff were so helpful. If those areas I mentioned are taken into consideration and addressed, it is a good place to be.

The accommodation might look a bit outdated, but it was so comfortable with a hot swimming pool outside our door and an area to sit outside the room, lounge kitchen were separate to bedroom all cooled by air-conditioner; very very pleasant and relaxing. What a fab view. Unlike most others in Taupo, THIS motel is on the lakefront, not across the road. We opted for a lake view unit, and it was wothwhile. And to top it all off, it is basically part of the Millenium Hotel next door, so we could have ordered room service and used the gym! A shame we were only passing through, so only one night. Highly recommended.

I liked the hotel being on the lake and out of the downtown area. Can't swim in the lake though. Very rocky. We had a car so were able to drive. Room was nice, clean. Little kitchen was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. only negative was that if your room on the pool side it's open to all the rooms on the other side. No privacy unless you have the curtain closed. But still nice place. I would stay again.
