I recently stayed at the Hilton DoubleTree in Islantilla, and my experience was mixed. The reception team deserves special recognition: they were always professional, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping with every issue I reported. Their attitude was exemplary, and they handled my concerns with a level of care that truly stands out.
Unfortunately, several aspects of the stay fell far below what I would expect from a Hilton-branded hotel. The most significant issue was the persistent noise and lack of proper soundproofing. This is not an isolated complaint—many other online reviews mention the same problem, and my experience confirmed it. I could clearly hear conversations in neighboring rooms, TV noise even when it wasn’t loud, people speaking in the corridors, the elevator, and the constant opening and closing of doors. Even the rain produced a loud metallic noise on the balcony structure. These conditions make it difficult to rest, and they are incompatible with the standards normally associated with Hilton.
There were also operational details that should be improved. All WhatsApp communication from the hotel was sent exclusively in English, despite being a hotel in Spain and despite my guest profile clearly indicating that my native language is Spanish. If the messages are automated, the system should be configured to address guests in their own language.
