Great little gem.. Just 20 mins from Brands Hatch. Stay here every time. Food is great. Lovely cooked breakfast 😋 It hasxa Charles Dickens theme. Brilliant 👏

Charming old pub with rooms. Narrow stairs lead to corridor with rooms off. Room had old leaded windows so was quite cool on the autumn night. Disappointed by the electric shower and a loo quite hard to flush. Breakfast was later than our departure time so a delicious bacon and mushroom sandwich was left in a fridge to collect on departure.

What a lovely room. A bed you could sink into, even though my husband prefers a firmer bed I thought it was great. Loved the Character of the place so much history. Menu looked good but unfortunately we weren’t there to eat an evening meal. Ooh! but having stayed in many hotels this had the best and most perfectly cooked English Breakfast I have ever had. Even better than mine and that’s saying something. Staff were very friendly and I would be very happy to recommend anyone to stay here.

Very dark, very dated bathroom and I had the 4 poster room. Windows in bad state of repair. TV remote control had a covering of dirst/dust/ hair !!! Left my room within 5 mins and drove home, I didn't see the point of discussing it with the people running the place. Do not stay here!

Very friendly and welcoming staff. This is a five hundred year old building so don't expect a Premier inn with nice even floors and shiny paintwork, however if you want a pub hotel with real character this place is a gem. Every member of staff was great and couldn't do enough to make the stay perfect. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal there but the breakfast is absolutely worth getting up for. We will be back.
