8/10 Muy bueno

Staff were very friendly and helpful, check in was easy at the bar. Room wasn't too hot; it had a good fan which was very useful. Food was very good and service was quick and friendly. Only improvement for me would be better ciders, Adders and Aspell don't cut it. Devon or somerset ciders are so much better.

The breakfast menu was varied and it was on a pre-order basis. Full English breakfast was excellent and well presented. The portion sizes on all the meals were big. Best evening meal was their steak and ale pie. Jake, our host was very welcoming, polite and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. All the other staff were very friendly. The actual pub is situated quite central to all the local attractions around the area.

Stayed over for one night to reduce my travel time to an appointment. Room was clean and tidy, had everything I needed for my stay. Car parking is tight as it's shared with neighbours, but I did manage to find a space and get parked with no issues and that's good as I arrived at 9pm. It was nice to be able to settle in and then go down to the bar for a couple of pints after a long journey. Bar staff were polite and friendly. Although you are in pub, it's very quiet in the rooms. Breakfast was amazing, full English, served hot and couldn't fault it. Would definitely stay here again.
