Managers are amazing! Hotel is currently under renovations but our room was nice and cozy! Management was extremely helpful answering any and all of my questions from the hotel to the town as I am new to the area! Not sure how many rooms are actually available because of the renovating in progress but I would definitely recommend and I will be back if I need a room while in the area again!

New ownership. Didn't even have their sign up yet. Very friendly staff. Room was clean enough but white bath towel had black stains on it. Caulking in bathroom looked like a five year old did it. Bed was very comfortable. The price was very reasonable and give them a little time to update and this will be nice. I would stay here again.

The rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff was outstanding. They are just taking over this hotel and they’re doing an excellent job. I had a slight problem trying to figure out the TV. They came over to my room immediately and helped me resolve it and I had a nice quiet day, and my service dog was allowed. Will definitely stay again on my way back down to Florida.

Took a chance on this property, given only 7 reviews on this platform. Happy to advise we we NOT disappointed! Great staff/local family run. Very friendly, and responsive. Room was clean, beds were comfy, shower was hot. Great price, safe area, would stay again.

Miss Jessica was lovely. She’s working real hard to make her Southerlodge a great place for travelers. Our room was super clean. The water pressure was amazing. We had a nice long, hot showers. We felt super safe and it was a perfect respite before our long drive. Highly recommend if you’re doing a northeast to Florida trip if you could make it to Townsend Georgia. I wish her nothing but best of luck.

Neighboring room was blaring music late at night and management did nothing about it after complaining. Mattresses were very uncomfortable. Couldn’t wait to get out of there.

The 1st room I got had a bed that felt like it was ran over with a car. The 2nd room had better beds, but the TV didn't work. The 3rd room had better beds and the TV worked partially. All the rooms were supposed to have new TV's but didn't. All the rooms were dated, poor drapes, rusting chrome in the bathroom. The pool is not useable. There is no breakfast because they haven't had the health inspections performed. There were no ice machines. I went to Hotels.com and read the reviews before the stay... turns out they were mostly all lies. Hotels.com had the rating at 80%... I give it a 20%. This property was just bought, and they are trying to clean it up. Give them a year or two. They might get there.

Check in was easy and pleasant. However, everything else was absolutely TERRIBLE. 1st the staff could not get our room key to work. After trying to program a new key 3 times, they decided to just let us use the MASTER key for our stay. In my opinion, that should NEVER happen, as we has access to EVERY room on the property. That in itself scared me, because then I started to wonder how many MASTER keys were given to other guest, that had access to OUR room. 2nd, our TV would not work, so my husband and grand-kids went to the front desk to let them know about this problem. On their way back, a man started cursing and being belligerent in front of my grand-kids. Which sent my middle grandchild into a fear for our safety and she begged us to leave immediately. 3rd, they sent a man to our room with another TV and he smelt so badly form marijuana that the smell lingered in the room even after he left. My husband then asked me if I felt safe and I told him NO, so he went to the front desk and asked for a refund. We were ONLY given 1/2 of our money back. BEWARE of this place. I DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!

Me and some friends of mine had reserved. Three rooms we checked in around 3:30. I went to my room. There was a single bed no TV and a disgusting odor my friend checked in their rooms. They had a TV but it wouldn’t work. It would come on and that was it no channels no nothing. I went to the front desk and I asked was I not supposed to have a TV in my room and she said yes ma’am let me call my boss. I’ll either move you to another room or get you a TV so I’ll wait I’m waiting. She finally came put a TV in my room because she said she had no other available rooms so then we left to go get dinner and we come back after dinner and we waited approximately an hour for them to figure out what was wrong with the TVs and why they wouldn’t work and then we heard a commotion outside and there were residence of the hotel fighting. The law was called. Cops came, and the kids that were within our group were terrified so we wound up leaving the property no refund disgusting very disgusting so unless you want to be around extended stay residence don’t bother with no TV service no ice machine. Everything‘s broke or out of commission drink machines snack machine machines everything’s broke or out of commission.
