Relaxing, quiet and fun

We stayed as a couple for 9 nights in July and enjoyed our time here. Everybody else had young children who were well behaved and we had a bungalow further from the pool and nanny area. This is a great place for young families. The evening performances by local people were great. We often did kayaking to the islands out in the lagoon and twice stopped in for lunch at the nearby upmarket Eratap resort. Big thanks to Rose and owners for arranging a rental car, day trip to Lelepah island and overnight to the volcano at Tanna island, you were very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly.

Lovely resort with only a small number of rooms giving you a personal feel. The staff did everything they can to please and ensure a relaxing enjoyable holiday. They have nanny's that are available for free to play with the kids while you are in the resort. While we want to enjoy the holiday with the kids, the kids enjoyed the time with the nanny's including doing special activities like weaving, local style cooking and adventuring to a nearby island. The nanny's are from the local village thus helping to support the community.

We had a great time staying at Aquana, the staff are friendly and will do above and beyond to make your stay an awesome one. Kids had heaps of fun, the kayaks were free you can kayak to a number of islands opposite the resort. It is a bit removed from the main road so you need to get a bus or hire a driver / car to go around, otherwise you won't have much to do. We had a great time the 3 nights we stayed.

Child friendly resort

The staff were great. The food was great. The service was great. However, while the single beds were comfortable, the queen bed was hard and unfortable. The pillows were also all unfortable. The airconditioning worked wonderfully. The bathroom, while basic, was adequate. The shower was hot with lots of pressure. The fridge was cold, not like the fridge and shower on Iririki or the shower on Iririki where we stayed last year. We would stay at Aquana again.

Very family friendly

My kids (ages 4 & 8) absolutely loved the kids club. Valerie and her wonderful team of nannies made all the difference. My kids couldn't stop talking about the nannies and all the fun activities they did. We went on the snorkeling trip operated by the resort and they arranged to have a nanny go along to keep an eye on the kids while the adults snorkeled. The guy from the beach hut who took us on the snorkeling trip was so patient with the kids, taught them to snorkel and guided them to view the fish and coral while lying on a kickboard with a see through plastic panel. The rest of the staff at the resort were also very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful unforgettable family holiday thanks to the lovely team at Aquana.

Relaxed family resort

We were looking for a smaller resort with access to all the simple water activities, to share our 70th birthdays with our daughters and their families (5 children ages 3 to 11) Aquana was perfect, a safe environment with lots to do : on land all children participated in lovely activities organised by Valerie & her skilled team of Nannies ; on the lagoon lots of kayaking & paddle-boarding. Good food, enjoyable evening entertainment enhanced the stay. Because we hired cars we could access Zipline & Mele Cascades though road access to resort is a challenge.

Perfect Place For A Honeymoon or a Family Holiday!

My husband and I loved staying at Aquana Beach Resort for our honeymoon. Everyone is very friendly and always very accommodating. It is a beautiful place to stay great accommodation, food, relaxing atmosphere where you can have a drink via the pool, read a book in the hammocks at the front of the bungalows. Also the chance to go kayaking or paddle boarding, get a massage or enjoy some time in the spa. You can order room service at no extra charge or you can dine at the restaurant. At Aquana they have different activities happening too for example the opportunity to watch some epic fire dancing and a trivia night too. Free buffet breakfast too each morning. When I was sick the staff offered me panadol and provided cooling washers and asked how I was feeling the next day. The staff at Aquana look after their guests and staff really well taking the time to ask if everything is ok with your meal and more then happy to answer questions. My husband and I definitely recommend staying at Aquana Beach Resort and we will be coming back here in the future for a holiday!

amazing hotel with wonderfully attentive staff

Amazing location, Such friendly and attentive staff- they couldn't do enough for us. Whisk the kids away to have fun while you relax round the pool with a cocktail! The kayaks and paddle boards were perfect for exploring the island opposite the resort- kids loved falling in to the safe lagoon and splashing about. Great snorkelling off island in front of resort too. Recommend getting a taxi transfer from airport (about 4,000 VT) rather than the resort's transfer tho.

Wonderful relaxing holiday with young kids

What a delightful experience. I knew it would be good, based on previous reviews but it surpassed all expectations. The staff were attentive and friendly. The nannies were wonderful. We spent 8 days at Aquana with a 1 year old and 4 year old. What a treat to be able to feed the kids early and then linger over our own dinner and drinks while they played nearby with the nannies. The resort is situated on a beautiful lagoon and you can kayak across to a beautiful beach. The lovely Gilbert can drop you out to a deserted island for a few hours at high tide where you can snorkel and picnic. Nice to have a bit of space and privacy in a 2 bedroom bungalow. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone, but especially to families with young children who want a relaxing break. None of us wanted to leave. Thank you Aquana!

Real holiday for parents

Since our daughter doesn't have any sibling we as a parents often need to spend quite some time being playmates with her so we wanted to stay somewhere she could play with other kids hopefully under the eyes of caretaker. Then here it was! The resort was isolated and environment was safe, several nannies always around kids and they take really good care of them. We were so pleased that we could send off our daughter to the Kids club with no worry and had quiet time and even some meals alone. We were quite impressed that all the staff were flexible and they do what needs to be done no matter if it is their role or not. Our daughter had a great time and we as parents were able to enjoy really lazy holiday for the first time since our daughter was born. Friendly atmosphere and staff made us not to care about the few small inconveniences!

Paradise!

I have just returned from a week at Aquana with my husband and two daughters ages 3 and 1 and can't speak highly enough of the place. We have been to some amazing 5 star resorts around Europe and the Middle East so didn't set our expectations too high with booking a 3.5 star resort but were blown away by how lovely it was! There was literally nothing to fault! The 2 bedroom villa was huge and spotlessly clean, the food delicious and very large portions and we were surprised to get the most amazing amuse bouche before every dinner! The staff were so lovely and helpful and helped us plan our trips (thanks to Gilbert for recommending The Hideaway when we said we were searching for amazing snorkelling and boy was it amazing!) the biggest thing for us were the nannies who were always on hand to help with our little ones. They would walk out baby around in the pram while she had her first nap, take our 3 year old in the trampoline or crab hunting or sit and watch a movie with her. We found ourselves having breakfast together alone, drinking afternoon cocktails and actually getting to talk to each other and then eating dinner together every day! We feel so refreshed and relaxed and still had an amazing holiday playing with the children but just with an extra pair or two of hands to help us. Fabulous fabulous place, thank you to everyone that made it so lovely and we can't wait to see you all next year :)

An ideal family resort.

We stayed at Aquana for 8 days with our 18 month old daughter and would thoroughly recommend it. If our daughter had not been unwell (and perhaps had been a bit older), it would have been the most relaxing holiday ever! The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The facilities, including the pool and trampoline, were of high quality and beautifully kept. The staff are great- the front desk staff were so helpful when our daughter was unwell, the restaurant staff never failed to accommodate our requests, and the nannies are so warm and friendly and tireless! A particular highlight for us was the restaurant. As "foodies" we were a little concerned about being "trapped" at one restaurant, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The menu is broad and the dishes were, almost without fail, very well done. The trips out to a nearby island for snorkeling (at no extra cost) were a highlight.
