部屋によってユニットバスがあるのとない部屋がある。大浴場があるからいいのたが洗面台が部屋になく、したまでいかないと手も顔も洗えない。せめて同じフロアに洗面所はほしい。それ以外は食事もおいしくアットホームだった。

Very traditional experience I highly recommend any travelers to stay a few nights here. Staff is very friendly, scenery is stunning, only a short bus ride from Kyoto. This was definitely a highlight for my trip to Japan.

We really liked the experience we received here! It is tucked away in the far parts of Kyoto, so I would recommend going here if you’d like to experience a disconnect from the hustle of tourist activities while still experiencing Japanese culture. The staff were incredible friendly, facilities and rooms were very clean!

Lovely inn in the mountains of Kyoto. Staff was very friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. Rooms were clean and cozy. Onsen was great as well. A bit out of the way but would still recommend.

It's a peaceful hotel surrounded by gorgeous mountains. It provides a traditional Japanese experience. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Japan. It has an onsen, so no private bathroom (toilets are also public). You sleep on a futon that you set up yourself. The staff provides dinner and breakfast and they play an instrumental Studio Ghibli soundtrack in the background while you dine to add to the peaceful atmosphere (everyone gets the same meal, you don't order it). There's wifi. The little table in your room is heated. There's a provided yukata that you can use during your stay. The staff is very friendly. They even give you a ride to the bus station in the morning if you want it. Otherwise, it's a 13 minute walk. But the walk in beautiful, because the town is beautiful.

This was one of the most memorable expiriences I had during my trip to Japan. Ohara overall is such a charming town. The staff at the inn were very kind and attentive. Our room was so cozy and we even got lucky with a room that included a private bathroom. The food was amazing as well.

We loved our stay at the onsen hotel. It was a great way to see the more quiet side of Kyoto. The hosts were amazing and friendly, they even helped us to get a taxi after checking out. The food was delicious. Everything was prepared fresh every morning and evening and there was a variety of foods to choose from. We definitely will be back next time visiting Kyoto.

My favorite parts were the Onsen and the Kotatsu. The staff were very kind and helpful to me even though I didn't speak japanese. Id highly recommended staying here if you want to see the beautiful countryside of Kyoto.

Great Japanese Hotel

The hotel is amazing. Japanese style bedroom with hot spring makes the experience more wonderful. The staff are kind and helpful, and they do their best to fulfill our request. Definitely recommend this place for those who want to try living in a Japanese hotel style for the experience, and want to stay close to the mountain and nature instead of being in the city.

Very well maintained property with an amazing garden! I loved the details and decoration of Ghibli Studios all over the place! The staff were very kind and attentive! I felt relaxed and well taken care of during my stay. I would recommend this to those who enjoy the countryside and onsen!
