Brand new hotel with great decor inspired by books and poetry. Rooms are amazing, comfortable bed and sheets, big screen tv that connects to Netflix (rare in Iceland), small fridge (also rare) and a beautiful bathroom with heated floor. Highly recommended

Traum-Hotel!!! Es wurde erst im Juni 2026 eröffnet und ist sooo gemütlich und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Wunderschöne Zimmer, mega Gym und tolle Bar! Zu 120% weiterzuempfehlen!

Lovely new art-themed hotel in Akureyri celebrating Icelandic, art and culture. Loved all the decor and elegant touches. Excellent breakfast and the staff were really wonderful, especially Juraj in the dining room.

The hotel is outstanding in every aspect. Its location is excellent, the design is modern, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Omar for his warm hospitality and outstanding service. The bathroom is beautifully designed, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the breakfast offers a wide variety of high-quality options. Everything exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended. Super clean new hotel. Unfortunately, the staff didnt seem to care whether we the guests were there or not. Not helpful, quick short answers to questions.

This is a brand new hotel, it’s opened within the last few weeks. It is decorated beautifully and you feel like you’re in a really fancy private library from the second you walk in. The rooms are impeccably decorated and feel really elegant. Though it’s not the vibe my wife and I usually go for, we enjoyed our time here. I want to give a special shout out to the bartender Julian. He was attentive, friendly and very helpful. Overall great stay!

We did not realize that this was a brand new hotel! And considering it had just opened a month before, things were running very well. It's a high end boutique international hotel with delightful quirky touches throughout. Ideally located in Akureyri with everything in walking distance. We had a very informative conversation with the bartenders the one night we stopped at the bar to get an after dinner drink. The room itself was spacious and well appointed. I was a big fan of all the patterns and prints and wallpapers.

Skáld Hotel was the best hotel we stayed at during our 8-day road trip around Iceland. We stayed in one of the apartments with our two children and absolutely loved it. It was extremely comfortable, spacious and very well designed, with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, which made it perfect for a family of four. Everything felt modern, thoughtfully planned and very comfortable. Breakfast was also really nice, with a good selection and quality, and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would mention is the restaurant service in the evening. We had dinner there twice, and unfortunately both times our food was significantly delayed. We waited around an hour, or even longer, after ordering, so this is definitely something that could be improved. Other than that, everything was perfect. A beautiful, comfortable and very well-designed hotel, and easily our favorite accommodation during our trip around Iceland. We would definitely stay here again.
