Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Burlington Hotel, especially for the price I paid. I wasn't sure what to expect at first because of some of the reviews, but my experience turned out to be much better than I anticipated. I have family in LA & traveled with friends but wanted my own space. To me, it's more like staying at an Airbnb than a traditional hotel.
Before checking in, I purchased my own comforter, pillows, towels, and a few other essentials to make my stay more comfortable. The room was exactly what I needed—clean shower, comfortable bed and well-maintained. The hotel provided fresh white linens. I didn't need assistance from the staff during my stay.
No, it's definitely not a Marriott or Hilton, which is what I usually book. However, it's not a bad place at all. It's actually a relaxed, laid-back spot and gave me the opportunity to try something outside of my normal routine. I appreciated experiencing something a little different.
Most importantly, READ all of the check-in instructions carefully - SAVE the entry codes! No TV, as clearly stated. Walls were a little thin, but wasn’t an issue for me. It was quiet at night, and I slept well.
I'm from New Orleans and travel frequently, both across the U.S. and internationally, so the neighborhood didn't bother me. Yes you do have to drive through an alley to reach the parking area, but I had no issues entering or leaving. I paid $10 per day for parking, convenient & well worth it.
