I regret to say this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. I booked a last-minute stay using points, and even that didn’t justify the experience. Despite being in a non-smoking hotel, the room reeked of smoke.
The furniture was visibly dirty and hadn’t been wiped down, and there were broken light covers. To make matters worse, the floor was warped and clearly hadn't been mopped in ages. The refrigerator was packed with ice buildup, indicating it hadn’t been defrosted in a long time, and I found hair in the tub, which was unpleasant.
Furthermore, the bathroom doorknob was loose and felt like it might fall off at any moment. As someone who works in the cleaning profession, I’ve encountered my fair share of poorly maintained places, but this one stands out for all the wrong reasons.
On a positive note, the staff were attentive, and the mirror in my room was clean, but that was the extent of the positives. I wouldn't consider staying at a Motel 6 or similar budget accommodations again, as I would feel safer sleeping in my car. Yikes!
