Very busy on arrival, biggest issue is parking due to the popularity of the pub. Otherwise a great stay for business

The food was very good as described by many previous reviewers. Our only issue was the temperature of of our bedroom, what with it being an old building, us being in an upper room and the heatwave it was very warm. There was an old aircon unit that was very noisy and due to its position in the room ( in a place away from the bed) was of no benefit sadly. When we spoke to one of the very accommodating staff the first morning a fan was delivered to the room and had been switched on for us when we got back later in the day. Despite the heat we would definitely recommend the Lamb, and all of it's staff, for a peaceful break in a very quiet area of the countryside.

Breakfast buffet was perfect for me, the restaurant is amazing tho, delicious!!!!! The Lamb is beyond cool, fire in the enormous hearth, local energy abounds, room delightful, staff I want to meet again. I Loved this place!
Plenty of places to relax in the main building
A snippet of my breakfast by the hearth (one of many)
The bar
By bus, an hours trip to Stonehenge.

Friendly helpful staff, lovely ambience, no problem with late night return (from a party), comfy beds, great breakfast and nice village. Only criticism was slightly ageing (noisy) extractor fan in bathroom and ancient double glazing arrangement made opening a window quite a task. But all in all an excellent stay.

The rooms were lovely, clean, quite spacious and nicely decorated. Bathroom was spotless. Nice shower. The air conditioning worked very well :) but was a little noisy. Nice big TV with good picture. Plenty of coffee in the room. Nice meals in restaurant. We had a baby and young child in group. Staff were really accommodating. Provided table with space for pram, and high chair with crayons and colouring paper. Food was very good, and in right price range. Staff everywhere were fabulous. There should be an extra star. The staff worked very hard, so that we had a really relaxing stay, and as a family group with differing needs, that is difficult to achieve!
