The hotel is very clean indeed. The people were really friendly. It is in a good central area where you can feel safe enough to walk free during the day. At night there are many homeless sleeping around the streets within the vicinity of the hotel, but you can walk without being bothered. Best Option in Downtown

I have used the Gran Hotel for years. The staff is helpful and the breakfast is included. The lunch special at the restaurant for 15 mil includes a drink, soup, main course and desert. The pool is freakishly cold but refreshing on hot days. The only drawbacks are the wifi is spotty in the rooms and downtown is noisy - bring earplugs.

Terrible WiFi, i asked for a no-smoker room and all the hotel smell like cigarettes. The food was always the same, bad combination, very poor options and the worst part was they served you like you were a prisoner: people in line, you have the same portion, you couldn't pick more cheese e.g. and the location horrible! i felt very insecure, the streets dirty and a lot of beggars...
