Good, clean room for our short stay in Glen Rose. Smooth check-in with friendly staff.

Pool was great ! Need some shade as I have Lupus and sun makes me sick . Girls had a blast in the clean pool !

We didn't like being right by the busiest street in the city and also the fact that they had bedbugs. We left a day early
Jason, 3-night trip

Mostly great! Some details on cleanliness

The room appeared mostly clean, but had two dead insects on the floor and what looked like a small speck of possible poop residue inside the toilet (i flushed it).

Most of the rooms filled with renters. No room cleaning between our 2 nights. Staff never in office. Minimum towels, blankets. One chair.
Janie, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

We stayed here a couple years ago and the property seemed quite run down, but june 2023 we stayed here again and it is under new management and has been recently updated and renovated. Rooms were clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. Parking was convenient and the big cup eatery is right next door, which is so good! Smart Tvs and internet worked great. Only thing that was upsetting was the pool was closed because it needed cleaning. But plenty of other places to to swimming in the area. overall good experience.

It was very convenient to dining and shopping, but even for the price it needs some help. Our room was very haggard looking, with a pest problem. We did alert front desk at check out, hopefully it is fixed to match pictures online soon.

2/10 Poor

There wasno coffee or cups in the room. Then later after being out for an event, drty towels were in floor from previous person. Had to.ask for clean towels and there was no tv remote. Person at front desk was filling in for owner, tried to help but he was kinda lost. Helpful but lost as to what to do.

I arrived and was told they sold my room because I did not prepay BUT I was not required to prepay just put up my credit card just in case I did not show. The person checking in in front of me could not even get a working key card room and the other person could not even get a card because they were out of room key cards. I guess the Lord was protecting me from staying at this place. I did get a room at a B&B that was AMAZING

Didn't really like much of anything about the property. No cups in the room, no coffee maker, 1 washcloth for 2 people (really??). Anytime the door to the room next door was shut the whole wall where the head of our bed was, shook. -- I know it was not a high rated hotel but this was a bit ridiculous. Oh, and the room smelled.
Michael, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

There was no towels in our room when we got there and we had to go all the way up to the front to get them. There was also no tv remote and the tv was stuck on one channel so we couldnt change it. The bed was like sleeping on a flat piece of wood. It was cheap but definitely should have spent the extra 20$ on a different hotel that would have actually came with basic necessities.

Okay stay.....

Really outdated. Need thorough cleanings before next guest is assigned a room. Smelled funny, dirty washcloth in tub, towels looked dirty, pillows were weird, too much to list. Ladies, no hairdryer! Had to by a fan cuz the ac was off and took forever to catch up with the 100* weather. TV didn't work, thank goodness I had the iPad for the kids. Overall, would I stay there again? Maybe, it was just a one night stay like this one was but I would definitely be a "karen" about it.
Maria, 1-night trip

Better to sleep in your car

The worst hotel experience I've had in decades. The room had a smell. It had no chair at the desk so I could not do any work, and when I asked for one it was delivered 90mins later at 1030PM. I was already in bed. The internet was so slow I could not download large files without timing out. Did not even try streaming. TV was on when I arrived and had no remote. SHOWER DID NOT WORK.

They didn't have my reservation from hotels.com. However, they did have a room, and gave me the same price.
Sven Ola, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

I ended up checking out immediately after seeing the room. Room 108 smelled strongly of cigarette smoke - although an attempt to hide it with cleaning product had been made. The furniture was torn and very old looking. What made me most uncomfortable however was that while the property appeared almost completely empty, as soon as I pulled up to my room, two men came across the parking lot and went into the room immediately next to mine. Staff seemed pleasant enough and offered another room but I honestly had a very uncomfortable feeling about staying there and felt that leaving was the better option

Sad stay in Glen Rose

Booked this months in advance for the '24 eclipse. Sheets and pillowcases were stained and obviously quite old. No working TV and no cups for rinsing mouth or taking medication. Dust was everywhere. Shabby all around. Very dingy room. Only nice thing was that bedspreads were new.
Cortland, 1-night trip

It was dirty. The shower didnt work and there wasn't a plug for the tub. Two of the four light bulbs over the sink were burnt out. The pool was empty and there wasnt any cable.

Could of been better

The bathroom wasn't all that clean and also there was no cable and I wasn't told about this till after I had already paid for everything so had 2 kids that were very unhappy and bored when we got back to the hotel
Brandi, 1-night trip

We had to pay cash, because they couldn’t take a credit card. He DID give us $20 off. Apparently he just bought property and prior owners disconnected cable/internet so he couldn’t run cards. Rooms are OLD and very sad. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Just very sad shape
Janet, 1-night trip

The motel had no record of my reservation from Expedia. There are no empty rooms in the entire town at any hotel. Due to the staff they found a room for me ..just luck.
Patti, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

When we're got there after 3pm (check in) they told us to wait thirty minutes so they could clean the room. We came back over an hour later and had to ask them to clean the room so we could use it. We sat in our car for another 45 minutes while they cleaned the room. The pool was disgusting and stinks. It was green and probably had frogs and tadpoles living in it.
Brent, 2-night trip

The boxsprings were showing and they were very worn out. They were stains on the carpet. The lid on the toilet seat was peeling as was the sink where pieces of paint were coming off. There were holes on the wall that were never plugged. No trashcan available. No remote and I found a bug which we are praying was not a bedbug.

Vice grips fix!

This place has so much potential. Unfortunately, it had some small issues that could have been addressed before we arrived. The hot water faucet was missing in the shower. A quick fix from maintenance was accomplished our first night with a complete fix for the next day. However, the next day came and went without the fix. We did not even get our room cleaned until we checked out.
